Magnetic Beads
Marvelgent magnetic beads combine a functionalized surface with a superparamagnetic core, allowing target molecules to be captured, separated, washed, and recovered quickly with the aid of an external magnetic field. Compared to traditional centrifugation- or filtration-based methods, magnetic bead workflows significantly reduce manual steps, simplify sample handling, and seamlessly support both individual benchtop experiments and high-throughput parallel processing.
Because they are easy to separate and adaptable to diverse surface chemistries, magnetic beads are widely utilized in:
- Protein purification and isolation
- Immunoprecipitation (IP) and co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP)
- Pull-down assays
- Nucleic acid extraction and clean-up
- Assay development and diagnostics

MagINDEX™ Agarose Magnetic Resin
The MagINDEX™ family extends Marvelgent’s core agarose expertise into magnetic formats for fast, convenient, and scalable protein workflows. Built on proprietary PROTEINEX™ agarose bead technology, MagINDEX™ products combine high-performance biomolecule binding with simple magnetic handling and automation compatibility. Typical applications include the affinity purification of tagged proteins, antibody capture, IP, Co-IP, and pull-down assays.
Key Features of MagINDEX™ Magnetic Resin
- High Binding Capacity: Utilizing Marvelgent PROTEINEX™ agarose bead technology, MagINDEX™ beads provide high ligand density to support the efficient capture and purification of even low-abundance protein targets.
- Simple Handling: The beads are superparamagnetic, exhibiting magnetic behavior only in the presence of an external magnetic field. This critical property minimizes unwanted clumping and ensures smooth workflow handling during binding, washing, and elution steps.
- Automation-Ready: A rapid magnetic response makes MagINDEX™ beads ideal for automated platforms, reducing manual intervention while enabling multi-well plate screening workflows to increase laboratory throughput.
- Versatile Applications: Optimized for IP, Co-IP, and small-scale purification of His-tagged proteins and antibody-related targets.
-
Scalability & Flexibility: Performs reliably across volumes ranging from low-microliter samples to higher-milliliter workflows, offering total flexibility for screening, analytical work, and small-scale preparative purification.
