MagIndex™ Ni-NTA Magnetic Agarose Resin is affinity chromatography media designed for one-step, small scale, high capacity purification of polyHistidine-tagged fusion proteins from various expression hosts, such as E.coli, yeast, insect cells and mammalian cells.
The resins are agarose based magnetic microspheres that are functionalized with Nitilotriacetic acid (NTA). The chelate ligand is charged with nickel ions (Ni2+), forming a very stable octahedral structure with the nickel ion in the center. The structure of Ni-NTA complex is compatible with solutions containing certain concentrations of reducing agents, denaturing agents, detergents and other additives.
