ProSnap™ Ion Exchange Media SP and Q resins are our brand-new proprietary absorbent matrix dedicatedly developed for high yield purification of proteins and other macromolecules at high-flow chromatography. These agarose-based resins are modified with extender on the surface, which increases the surface area for higher capacity. The modification with extender also shortens distance for mass transfer and therefore provides better column efficiency.
ProSnap™ SP resin is a strong cation exchanger. The ion exchange group is a sulphopropyl group:
-O-CH2CH2CH2SO3-
