Genetically engineered Protein A contains IgG-binding domains with improved dynamic binding capacity. Stable in extreme alkaline & acid conditions pH1-13. ... Read more
Description
Protein A from Staphylococcus aureus is ideal for purification of polyclonal or monoclonal IgG antibodies. Protein A binds to most human and mouse IgG subclasses with high affinity, including human IgGs (IgG1, IgG2, and IgG4); mouse IgGs (IgG2, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3). It also binds to total IgG forms of cow, guinea pig, hamster, house, pig, and rabbit.
Protein A can be coupled to solid separation medium (such as agarose) for monoclonal and polyclonal antibody purification. Protein A can also be coupled to a variety of molecules (such as fluorescent molecules, enzyme markers, biotin, colloidal gold and radioactive markers), for detection of antibodies in the process of Western-blot, ELISA or immunohistochemical tests.
ProteoSure™ recombinant Protein A is a genetically engineered mutant variant. It contains IgG-binding domains, having other non-specific binding sequences removed, and carries mutations that contribute to its stability in extreme alkali conditions. This recombinant Protein A has shown improved dynamic binding capacity in the purification of immunoglobulins, and is suitable for cleaning-in-place (CIP) applications using up to 0.5 M NaOH.
Manufactured according to NSF ISO9001:2008.
