High capacity purification of all IgGs from human, mouse, and rat. Binds both Fc and Fab. Optimized for purifying monoclonal Abs from tissue cultures and ascites fluid. Compatible with FBS, serum albumin. Improved specificity as the albumin binding site is removed. ... Read more
PROTEINDEX™ rProtein G Agarose 4FF is an affinity chromatography medium designed for easy, one-step purification of immunoglobulins, notably most mammallian IgG isotypes, as well as Fc region-containing fusion proteins.
Protein G is derived from Streptococcus strain G148. It contains binding sites for the Fc portion of mammalian IgG. Native protein G has 3 IgG binding domains as well as the sites for albumin and cell-surface binding. Our recombinant protein G contains only the IgG binding domains but no albumin recognition region, therefore, it is compatible with purification protocols that require the presence of fetal bovine serum (FBS) or serum albumin proteins.
Showing super binding specificity for IgG species, PROTEINDEX™ rProtein G Agarose 4FF enables single-step purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies with a greater than 95% purity, and is well suited for IgG purification from various sources, including crude samples of tissue cultures and sera. With rigid, highly cross-linked matrix support, this product is versatile and well chemical-tolerant. It is readily adaptable to protocols of various formats over a broad range of chemical conditions.
- High capacity, > 30 mg human IgG / mL of settled resins
- High selectivity for high purity
- Mechanically stable matrix support, can be used in spin (at up to 1000 g) and automated applications
- Minimal ligand leakage, can be reused
- Versatile, ready-to-use with convenient formats
High purity and high capacity of rProtein G 4FF resin.
Lanes: (1) Raw ascites fluid; (2) Flow-through; (3) Elution 1; (4) Elution 2. Note that, heavy and light chains of IgG were mostly absent from the flow-through, indicating that most immunoglobulins were bound to the column.
